New Delhi: General Motors India on Tuesday launched an updated version of its Chevrolet Cruze sedan, priced between Rs 13.7 lakh and 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The updated entry D-Segment sedan comes with styling changes such as revised grille, restyled front and rear bumpers, chrome surrounded fog lamp enclosures across all the variants, dual bezel design headlamps, new alloy wheels and standard ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. However, there are no changes in the rest of the car.

The revamped version also offers six-way power adjustable driver's seat, premium speakers, dead pedal and Bluetooth connectivity apart from usual features like push button start, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming inside rear view mirror. The jet-black leather interior is illuminated by ice-blue ambient lighting.

The car is equipped with Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) which controls the central locking, anti-theft alarm and ignition.

The updated 2014 Chevrolet Cruze comes with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission mated to the turbocharged 2-litre VCDi engine, the company said. The company claims the automatic version delivers a better ARAI certified fuel economy of 14.81 kmpl and the manual variant returns an ARAI certified 17.2 kmpl. The powerplant is the familiar 2.0-litre VCDI engine that puts out 166 PS of power and a massive 380 Nm of torque.

The entry level Cruze LT manual is priced at Rs. 13.70 lakh, the LTZ manual retails at Rs. 15.19 lakh and the top end LTZ automatic variant will set you back by Rs. 16.19 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom New Delhi).

The sedan competes against the likes of Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia.
