New Delhi: Sony has launched the dual-SIM version of its entry-level Xepria E smartphone, called Xperia E1. The single-SIM and dual-SIM versions, cost Rs 9,490 and Rs 10,490, respectively. While the single-SIM variant will go on sale on March 10, the dual-SIM version will be up for grabs on March 10.

The E1 is a chunky phone with 12 mm thickness and 120 g weight, and will be available in signature Sony colours – black, purple and white.

The device comes with a 4-inch WVGA display that offers a pixel resolution of 480x800 pixels along with a 233ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8210) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It offers 4 GB of inbuilt storage capacity, which can further be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD memory card.

On the imaging front, the device comes with 3-megapixel camera. The 3G-enabled device gets its juice from a 1700mAh battery.

The speaker of the E1 is touted to deliver 100Db of sound, thanks to which Sony claims “even a motorcycle won't interrupt your music.” You also get the ClearAudio+ technology as well as xLOUD, which are normally reserved for higher-end phones. In addition, Sony's Walkman technology, offers extra features in terms of music playback. For instance, shaking the phone can be used to shuffle the playlist. Plus, there's also a dedicated Walkman button for quick access to your tracks.
