Hyundai has launched the 2015 version of its popular Elantra sedan.

The sedan will be available in both diesel and petrol options. While the petrol version is priced in a range of Rs 14.13 lakh and Rs 16.45 lakh, the diesel option will cost between Rs 14.58 lakh and Rs 17.94 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

The facelift Elantra comes with new projector headlamps with LED running lamps along with a new front bumper that houses new fog lamps. The window belt line gets a lick of chrome. The 16-inch rims are new and the tail lamp is a new LED affair.

On the outside, the sedan gets a newly-designed front bumper, chrome grille, projector head-lamps with LED light guide, and revised fog-lamps. The car also gets newly-designed 10-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, and moulding on its belt line. The tail lamp is a new LED affair.

The rear profile too looks refreshed with the new two-tone bumper and chrome tipped exhaust in addition to the new LED effect rear combination lamps.

The Elantra comes with features such as electronically heated, adjusting and folding mirrors, auto lamps, rear parking sensors and camera, push button start, a new generation 4.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control. It also offers a new Supervision instrument cluster, 10 way power driver's seat, ventilated front seats and rear air con vents.

On the safety front, the car offers six airbags, hill hold, ESP and disc brakes. Mechanically, the Elantra continues without any changes. Two engines are on offer, a 1.6-litre 128PS diesel and a 1.8-litre 149.5PS petrol. Both automatic and manual gearbox options are available for both engines. The petrol returns a claimed 16.3kmpl and Hyundai claims that the diesel's 22.7kmpl is a best in class figure.

The new Elantra will be available in six colours.
