New Delhi: Samsung has finally launched the flagship Galaxy S7 Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone at MWC. The smartphone will go on sale sometime in March, and pre-orders will soon kick start at select countries. 

Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone flaunts a 5.1-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display coupled with a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset or Exynos 8890 chipset. The device runs on Android marshmallow wrapped under TouchWiz UI.  It has a 4GB of RAM and offers 32GB and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded by a microSD card slot. 

The smartphone features a 12-megapixel rear camera that features f/1.7 aperture and 1.4um pixel sensor. It also has a 5-megapixel f/1.7 selfie camera. It features a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support. In terms of connectivity the smartphone has a dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and micro-USB port. 

The smartphone also includes support for Vulkan API, which will soon replace OpenGL ES as the new standard for gaming. The physical home button is back, which is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. Also alongside the rear camera, Samsung has retained the heart-rate sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD (2560×1440 pixels) resolution. It has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset or Samsung's Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android marshmallow wrapped under TouchWiz UI. The device comes with a 32GB and 64GB internal storage options that can be expanded by using a microSD card.

The connectivity options include, dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi and micro-USB port. Samsung has introduced a new UI mode, called Edge Single Plus. And as the name suggest it has added another row of notifications at the edges of the display.
