Renault Lodgy is powered by the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine as the Duster, and will be offered in two states of tunes – 85 PS and 110 PS.
The 85 PS model churns out 200 Nm of torque and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission; however, the 110 PS version delivers 245 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Mileage for the 85 PS model is 21.04 km/l while the more powerful 110 PS returns 19.98 km/l. At the time of launch, both these models will be available in a top-end trim only, certain reports have stated.
In its top-end RxZ trim, the Renault Lodgy comes with a reverse camera, parking sensors, roof mounted AC vents for the second and third row, touch screen infotainment system as well as a last row which can be fully removed.
Renault is offering the MPV with seven and eight-seater options. The 7-seater gets comfortable Captains chairs for the second row with airplane-like foldable trays.
Expect Renault to price the base Lodgy starting from Rs 8 lakh.
Post the launch of the Lodgy, Renault will introduce its small car codenamed ‘XBA', with reports stating a launch by June 2015.
