New Delhi: Samsung has launched its new budget smartphone, the Galaxy Core Prime, at Rs 9,700. The handset is listed at the company's India e-store, with no word on availability.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is a dual-SIM handset featuring a 4.5-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) PLS (plane-to-line switching) TFT display. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Inbuilt storage includes 8 GB and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB). It comes with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front camera.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and 3G. The device is fueled by a 2000mAh battery.

Galaxy Core Prime measures and sports a matte body finish with metal sides. It is currently listed in three colour variants - Charcoal Grey, White, and Silver.
