New Delhi: Samsung has launched two new smartphones in its brand new Galaxy E-series - the Galaxy E5 and the Galaxy E7.

While the Galaxy E5 costs Rs 19,700, the Galaxy E7 comes at a price of Rs. 23,000. These devices will go on sale from January 20.

The Galaxy E-series is aimed at the younger population of the country offering a good viewing and selfie experience.

Both these handsets come with a feature called 'Hybrid Dual-SIM', which allows the second SIM slot to be used as a microSD card slot.

The Galaxy E5 comes with a 5-inch Super-Amoled display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It offers an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Inbuilt storage in Galaxy E5 includes 16GB that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS/ GLONASS. It measures 141.6x70.2x7.3mm, and comes with a 2400mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy E7 comes with a 5.5-inch Super-Amoled display, and is also powered by an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixiel front-facing camera.

The Galaxy E7 offers 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS/ GLONASS. The device is fueled by a 2950mAh battery.

Both smartphones feature wide angle selfie, selfie voice command, selfie with palm gesture, and beauty face features, apart from ultra power saving mode and private mode.

Vodafone is also offering 2GB of 3G data per month for two months with the smartphones.
