The film has become Alia and Varun all-time highest opening weekend grosser as a lead pair, latest reports suggest.
Alia and Varun’s previous two films “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhani” and “Student of The Year” collected Rs 33.74 crore and 30 crore respectively in the first weekend.
BKD has become the fourth highest opening weekend grosser of 2017 after “Raees” (93.24 crore), “Kaabil” (Rs. 67.46 cr) and “Jolly LLB 2” (Rs. 50.46 crore).
“Badrinath Ki Dulhania” which is a spin-off of “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” reprises the star cast and marks the third film of Alia and Varun together. The two started off their careers with ‘Student Of The Year’ and since then, both the actors have been doing some remarkable work.
The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions.
Varun and Alia are a favourite pair among the masses and their chemistry was bang on “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania”. And, now the second instalment BKD is likely to gain success and emerge as one of the most successful films of the year.
Well, it looks like “Badrinath” Varun and his ”Dulhania” Alia are going to have a blast this year and break several box-office records!
