‘Naam Shabana’ actress Taapsee launches sexual harassment helpline for working women
Actress Taapsee Paanu has launched a helpline to save working woman from harassment and mental distress at work place. The beautiful actress called it an initiative to make the world a better and safer place for women. The news came soon after the TVF CEO Arunabh Kumar was accused of sexual harassment by former employees.
The complainants calling on the number will be assisted by professional counsellors who will provide all the possible help to the victims. Event and Entertainment Management Association has taken this step to help the working ladies.
Taapsee, who has recently released self-defence video for women stated that this is a great initiate for ladies working in events, entertainment and media industry. She added that it is an initiative to make the environment safe for working women.
The actress has previously stated that she has asked her friends to keep her updated on the controversies surrounding Arunabh Kumar. Previously, the actress released a video with Akshay Kumar showing some self-defence techniques to ladies. She later released another video with actress Swara Bhaskar in which she was seen asking ladies to be proud of their bodies.
On the work front, Taapsee will next be seen in ‘Naam Shabana’. Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher will be seen doing cameo in the film. It is the spin -off of 2015 film ‘Baby’ and is slated to release on March 31.
