Actor Akshay Kumar looked promising in the trailer of his upcoming film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha but do you know, he was not the first choice for the film? Yes, according to latest reports, the makers of the film were keen to cast actress Sonakshi Sinha to play the protagonist in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. But, the actress chose Noor over it. Thus, the makers decided to change the plot and cast Khiladi Kumar for the role.

A source revealed that one of the incident of the film was linked to 19 year-old-girl Priyanka Bharti, who gave rise to the revolution after she left her in-laws house because they didn’t have toilets. The film is based on the true incidents and this was a strong role that was rejected by Sonakshi. Reports further added that after this, makers decided to change the plot and make film from male perspective where hero starts the revolution for his wife. Thus, Akshay was selected as the protagonist.

Well, it is yet to be seen if there is something true to these rumours. But, if this was true then Sonakshi actually missed a golden opportunity. Now, people are eagerly waiting to see Akshay talking about ‘Shauchalaya’ on the silver screen.

Along with Akshay, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha also features Bhumi Pednekar. The movie is based on PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and is slated to release on August 11.
