New Delhi: It's a double ton for SRK-Deepika's Chennai Express within just two week of its release and is on the verge to become the highest grosser in India cinema.

 

The flick by the second weekend minted Rs 43.85 cr while by the end of the first week of its release it collected Rs156.7 crore, making a grand total of Rs 200.55 crore.

With this Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have become the latest entrants in the 200 crore club and are just Rs 2.02 crore away to break the undisputed record of Rs 202.57 crore set by Aamir Khan starrer ‘3 idiots' in 2009.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirms, “ChennaiExpress hits a double century in 2 weeks. Crosses Rs 200 cr nett in India. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER”

Here is the breakthrough of Chennai Express second week Box Office collection: Fri 6.50 cr, Sat 8.51 cr, Sun 10.22 cr, Mon 3.80 cr, Tue 7.06 cr, Wed 4.51 cr, Thu 3.25 cr. Total Rs 43.85 cr in Week 2.

Here is the breakthrough  of 1st week Box Office collection: “ChennaiExpress PP 6.75 cr, Fri 33.12 cr, Sat 28.05 cr, Sun 32.5 cr, Mon 12.62 cr, Tue 11.5 cr, Wed 12.56 cr, Thu 19.6 cr. Total: 156.7 cr.”
