New Delhi: Countless websites are doing the piracy business for years and film industry has been continuously battling against it. Now the team which is the newest crusader to join the cause is Eros International's Shamitabh.
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan along with director R.Balki have decided to not to release the songs of their film on YouTube or any other web streaming portals in the attempt to curb piracy.
The first song titled ‘Piddly' featuring Amitabh Bachchan that has gone on to create a rage online, was launched on the superstar's social networking accounts as the first step to fight music piracy. The link posted by Bachchan permits users to download the song for free from the music company's website.
Going by a leading daily's report, “The team wanted to share the song for free, before other digital platforms start making the pirated version available."
Big B has a huge fan following and as expected his followers downloaded the song from his link. The idea to fight piracy has worked out well.
Presented by Eros International, produced by RK Damani, Sunil Lulla, Gauri Shinde, Rakesh Jhunjhuwaala and Abhishek Bachchan, Shamitabh also starring Dhanush and Akshara Haasan is scheduled to release on February 6th.
