There are hundreds of films released in our Indian film industry and around thousand of songs every year. But very few actually succeed in cracking its way to our playlist. Among the numerous numbers of songs, few of them stay in our hearts.
The year 2014 was also flooded with songs but there are few that will be played again and again. Whenever we would listen to these songs in the future, it will remind us of the wonderful musical year we had.
Here are few of the songs of this year that everybody loved:
India Waale (Happy New Year)
This year's Diwali release Happy New Year cracked many box office records. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles had beautiful musical numbers specially ‘India Waale.' Lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil were composed into song by Vishal-Shekhar. Vishal, KK, Shankar Mhadevan and Neeti Mohan brought life to the song with their voices.
Jumme Ki Raat (Kick)
Salman Khan's this year's Eid treat for his fans was his film Kick. The film broke and made multiple box office records. Himesh Reshammiya composed music for the film and it contributed hugely in the success of the film. The song ‘Jumme Ki Raat' made stayed on top of the list of all music stations for several weeks. Penned down by Kumaar, the song was voiced by Mika Singh and Palak Muchhal.
Char Kadam (PK)
One of the most awaited movies of the year PK will release on December 19. But its songs including Char Kadam is on everyone's lips. Lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire are sung by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra. The song is filmed on Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput.
Tu Meri (Bang Bang!)
Bang Bang was one of the highest grossers of the year that starred Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in leading roles. The music composed by Vishal-Shekhar was also one of the best of the year. Apart for composing the music Vishal Dadlani also penned and vocalised the song.
Haider is one of the most critically appreciated movies of this year. The film did not break any record at the box office but it earned audience's praise and was declared a hit. Even the film's music, composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, was highly appreciated. Once again Gulzar saab and Bhardwaj collaborated to bring out some extraordinary music. It's really hard to choose the best one but Bismil is probably the most likened song of the album. Brought alive by Sukhwinder Singh's virile voice Shahid Kapoor gave a spectacular dance performance on the song.
