In a big catch, Karkala police have confiscated Rs 71 lakh in unaccounted cash in Rs 2,000 notes in Bailoor, Karnataka, ANI reported today

Along with the currency, three persons were also arrested by the police.

The three accused were travelling in a car when the police intercepted their vehicle and found them in the possession of cash, sources said.

After they weren’t able to produce any documents for the cash they were carrying, the police seized all of it along with the car.

Sources say the uncounted money was being brought to Mangaluru.

Those arrested were reportedly identified as Asif, Imran and Deepak from Kudroli, Mangaluru.

The Police handed over the three suspects to the Income Tax officials for further inquiry.
