After two back to back videos of a BSF Jawan and a CRPF trooper raking up a storm on social media, yet another video of an Army man has surfaced on internet where he has accused his superiors of targeting him for writing to the Prime Minister highlighting the plight of the soldiers.

Lance Naik Yagya Pratap Singh, who is posted at Dehradun's 42nd Infantry Brigade, is seen talking about harassment by seniors after he wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, the Supreme Court and the President in June last year. His letter was responded to by the PMO asking for a probe into the situation.

However, instead of investigating the issue, his superiors began harassing him and also initiated an inquiry that could potentially result in his court-martial, Singh alleged.

He stressed that no sensitive information was leaked or mentioned in his letter to the Prime Minister.

“I had written an application to the PM in which I said that soldiers, who act as sahayaks, should not be made to polish shoes of officers,” Singh said.

"They put pressure on me and tortured me to such a level that I could have taken an extreme step. But I will not commit suicide or act in any way or against anyone that will tarnish the name of my service," he added, "I have been called for court-martial, but what wrong have I done."

The army said it has taken cognisance of the matter and it was being investigated.

Earlier, Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav became a national sensation overnight when he uploaded a video narrating the grim conditions of the soldiers in the border areas.

In videos uploaded on social media platforms, the jawan, wearing a camouflage uniform and carrying a rifle, claimed that while the government procured essentials for them, the higher-ups and officers “sold it off” in an “illegal” manner in the market and they have to suffer.

He posted other videos saying the quality of food served was not of good quality.

Later, a CRPF Jawan also posted a video addressing the Prime Minister demanding pay parity for para military forces with that of the Indian Army.
