New Delhi: At least three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were killed today when Maoists ambushed their patrol party near Sukma-Malkangiri border in Odisha's Chitrkonda.

Six BSF jawans were also injured in the Maoist attack.

Reports say that the BSF patrol party was securing an under-construction bridge when they were attacked by the Maoists.

Meanwhile, police and BSF have launched a massive search operation in the region to identify the Maoists.
