Guwahati:  The flood situation in Assam further deteriorated with rains continued in most parts of the state and neigbouring Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Bhutan.

More than 7 lakh people across 19 districts of the state have been affected. Six people have died so far.

Three national parks of Kaziranga, Manas and Dibru Saikhowa have also been affected.

As per the report of state flood bulletin, 179 anti-poaching camps in KNP came under flood on Friday morning.

In lower Assam districts, surging water all the tributaries of Brahmaputra river wreaked havoc. The river is flowing above the danger level at Nematighat in Jorhat and Dibrugarh and was maintaining a rising trend in most of the other districts.

Army has rescued 1,500 people in worst flood affected Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar district.

"High alert has been sounded in Kokrajhar , Bongaigaon and Goalpara district following met department's prediction of more rains in the next 24 hours," said Nandita Hazarika , SPO of Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

Landslides in many areas, meanwhile, jeopardized the road communication in the state.
 
National Highway-31C is flooded at several places with a bridge damaged while approach roads leading to many wooden bridges also suffered damage affecting vehicular traffic at different places in the state.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday spoke to Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on the flood situation and assured him of all possible assistance from the Centre.

The Chief Minister along with state water resources minister Basanta Das reviewed the flood situation with on Friday.

Till Friday evening, 177 relief camps were in operation providing sheltering two lakh people.
