The raise was implemented across Gujarat and Rajasthan yesterday. The GCMMF had earlier hiked the price in other areas of the country.

The price of Amul Gold has been increased from Rs 42 a litre to Rs 44 per litre, they said, adding that price of Amul Shakti, which was earlier Rs 38 per litre has been raised to Rs 40 per litre.

Amul Taaza will now cost Rs 32 per litre, a one rupee rise from the earlier Rs 31 per litre.

One litre of Amul Tea Special will cost Rs 40 per litre, a Rs 2 rise from the earlier Rs 38 per litre while the price of Amul Diamond has been hiked to Rs 46 per litre from Rs 45 per litre, sources said.

The hike in various brands of milk is attributed by cooperative officials to rising input cost.
