The incident came to light this afternoon when the victim's aunt Pushpa found her hanging.  “In her statement, she has said Monika had gone to her school this morning.

After she returned, she went to her room, latched the door from inside and hanged herself,” said a police official.

When Pushpa informed police, a team went to the spot and took her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
