Jammu: With the recent seizure of some coconut-shaped bombs from terrorists in Kathua and Hiranagar near the Line of Control on September 26, security agencies are on the alert during the nine-day Navratra festival that began today.







Lakhs of devotees visit Mata Shri Vaishno Devi shrine during this nine-day festival and offer coconuts and other fruits.

Army has been alerted and a detachment of army jawans have been posted near Vaishno Devi shrine to deal with any eventuality.
