Nashik: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama today arrived in Nashik in Maharashtra to attend the 'Dharma Niripekshata Niti Parishad', organised by the Indo-Tibet Mangal Maitry Sangh in the city.

The day-long conference is being held in a local hotel, said one of the programme conveners, Atul Bhosekar.

Dalai Lama, who will deliver a discourse at the event after inaugurating it, is visiting Nashik after a gap of 22-years.

Earlier, the Nobel winner was accorded a warm welcome at Ojhar airport here this morning, from where he proceeded to the hotel.

Tibetan leaders Tashi Dolma and Gyeshyeishi Gyaltsen are also attending the meet.
