Ranchi, Jul 20 : After the Union Home Ministry reportedly alleged that the SPs of five Jharkhand districts were were "soft" on Maoists, Chief Minister Arjun Munda today ordered a probe into the anti-Naxal actions taken by them. 

Munda, taking cognisance of a Union Home Ministry letter,met the state Home Secretary and the Director General of Police, and ordered the state Home Department to initiate probe into the anti-Naxal actions taken during the tenures of Richard Lakra (Garhwa), Prabhat Kumar (Chatra), Asit Vikrant Minj (Lohardaga), Narendra Prasad (Gumla) and Anup (Simdega).

The Centre in a letter to the state government reportedly questioned the role of these five officials in the anti-Naxal operation, demanding immediate transfer of Lohardaga, Gumla and Chatra SPs. The Union Home Ministry also said it is not satisfied with the performance of Garhwa and Simdega SPs.Some senior officials from these districts reportedly put blame of failures against Maoists on the paramilitary forces.
