Islamabad: In yet another setback to Pervez Musharraf, a Pakistani anti-terrorism court today rejected the former military ruler's request for dropping his name in the Benazir Bhutto murder case and fixed a date for a fresh trial.

Musharraf's lawyer Akhtar Shah had requested the court to discharge the former president in the case.

After listening to his arguments, the court in Rawalpindi rejected the plea as inadmissible.

Former premier Bhutto was killed by a suicide bomber shortly after addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi in December 2007.

Musharraf has been accused of failing to provide security to her.
