Indore mayor Malini Gaud of the BJP has landed herself in thick soup after she inadvertently paid floral tributes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

According to reports, Gaud, spouse of late Madhya Pradesh cabinet minister late Laxman Singh Gaud, was participating in a function at her residence in Indore.

After placing a garland on her late husband’s picture, she went to on to garland the picture of PM and Chouhan.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA Jitu Patwari has slammed the mayor and said the concerned person should be punished.

This was not the first incident that such a gaffe has happened. A Jharkhand minister had drawn flak for offering floral tribute to former President APJ Abdul Kalam when he was still alive.
