‘Respect all religions as women in burqa too voted for you’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath gets advice from his fatherUP CM Yogi Adityanath's father advised his son to take everyone along as Women in burqa also voted for him in the Assembly polls.
Advising newly-appointed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to respect all religions, his father Anand Singh Bisht reminded the UP CM that even burqa-clad women voted for him in the just-concluded Assembly elections.
“He’ll need to take everyone along. Women in burqa have also voted for him. He needs to respect all religions, win their hearts,” Yogi Adityanath’s father told Times of India.
84-year-old Anand Singh Bisht, a retired forest ranger, further said that the new UP Chief Minister should keep in mind the fact that Muslim women voted for the BJP as they expect the party to help them on triple talaq and other issues.
"Muslim women voted for BJP as they have high hopes that the party would help them on triple talaq and other issues. People from all faiths believe BJP and Aditya Nath can take them on the path of progress. That has to be kept in mind," he added.
Interestingly, Yogi Adityanath’s father said that his son needs to shed the tag of "Hindutva campaigner".
He, however, added that the UP CM is making sincere efforts to connect with the people of the state.
"On day one, the CM told his staff not to use language that hurts people. He is making sincere efforts and it is visible," he said.
