Navi Mumbai: NCP supremo and union minister Sharad Pawar has blasted union government for allowing excavations in UP aimed at gold treasure hunt. He said that government should not get involved in such matters just by trusting the words of any saint.

Pawar, however,  defended PM Manmohan Singh in coalgate case. He said that the entire world respects Manmohan Singh and no allegation should be leveled against him without any proof.
