Kaithal (Haryana): Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today challenged his Gujarat counterpart and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to debate on the issue of development.

Alleging that the people of the country were being misguided on the issue of Gujarat model of development, Hooda said, “The Gujarat Model is only a showpiece.”

Addressing a public meeting during his ‘Rath Yatra' here today, he said Haryana was a front runner on development front and added, “Modi would have to see himself development taking place in different parts of Haryana.”

Hooda alleged that in Gujarat farmers are being supplied electricity at the rate 27 times higher than that in Haryana.
