New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is unhappy with the projection of Kiran Bedi, who on Thursday joined the BJP, as chief ministerial candidate of the party in Delhi.

According to a report published in Time of India, Bhagwat is glad that a woman of Kiran Bedi's stature and calibre has joined the saffron outfit but has taken strong exception to the hurried and immediate portrayal of her as the chief ministerial candidate.

Bhagwat also wanted to know who took the call.

The BJP, however, cleared the air saying the party has not made any such announcement, official or unofficial, and it was only a speculation propagated by the media.

Meanwhile, reports are doing round that Kiran Bedi may head the party's campaign in the national capital.  A decision in this regard will be taken on January 19 when the party's parliamentary board will meet.

The party is also hunting for a ‘safe seat' for Bedi from where she can win comfortably. Bedi has reportedly expressed her desire to fight from Malviya Nagar constituency in south Delhi but state unit chief Satish Upadhyay too has his eyes set on the same seat.

Polling in Delhi will be held on February 7 and counting will take place on February 10.
