Lucknow:  UP Congress has finally suspended the two Congressmen accused of putting up portraits that termed Sonia Gandhi as ill and demanded Priyanka Gandhi's candidature from Phoolpur Lok Sabbha constituency.

The hoardings in question had photographs of Priyanka and Sonia that read, "Maiya ab Rahti Beemar, Bhaiya par badh gaya bhaar, Priyanka Phoolpur se bano ummedwaar, party ka karo prachaar, Congress ki sarkaar banao teesri baar.”

Shreesh Chandra Dubey and Haseeb Ahmad had put up hoardings in the Civil Lines area of Allahabad saying that since Congress president Sonia Gandhi was unwell and Rahul Gandhi was over burdened, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should campaign for the party and contest from Phoolpur in Allahabad district of the state, a constituency represented by the late prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru a long time back.
