Former cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Mohammad Kaif among others took to their Twitter handle to congratulate team Indian on their achievement.

Besides, celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, politician Shashi Tharoor and Rajeev Shukla also congratulated the team through Twitter.

This is the first time in India that a visiting team has lost a Test match after scoring 400 runs in their first innings.

This is also the sixth successive series win under Virat Kohli having started the juggernaut in Bangladesh (1 Test) last year, followed by Sri Lanka (away), South Africa (home), West Indies (away), New Zealand (home) and now England.

Skipper Virat Kohli was adjudged the man of the match for his superb double century knock.

India and England will next play the fifth and final Test at Chennai starting on December 16.
