Khulna, Bangladesh: Bangaldesh's Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes both brought up their career-best scores on Saturday as the hosts reached 315-1 in their second innings and the first Test against Pakistan headed toward a draw.

Bangladesh has a 19-run overall lead, but with only two sessions to play on the final day, a result looks unlikely.

Tamim reached 159 bettering his previous high score of 151 by the end of a morning session that was interrupted by rain, forcing lunch to be brought forward by 35 minutes.

Imrul Kayes made 150 before becoming the only wicket to fall in the session, holing out after charging left arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar (1-64) to offer a catch at long-off.

Kayes hit 16 fours and three sixes and became only the fifth Bangladeshi batsman to reach 150.

Tamim smashed 15 fours and four sixes in his 224 balls innings and shared a 312-run partnership with Kayes; the first 300-plus stand in national test history.

The partnership is also the fourth highest opening stand in the second innings of any test.

Pakistan was all out for 628, taking a lead of 296, in reply to Bangladesh's 332 in the first innings.
