Port Elizabeth, South Africa: David Miller hit his maiden one-day international century to help South Africa post 262-8 in the fourth ODI against the West Indies at St. George's Park on Sunday.

Miller came to the wicket with a much-changed South African team in trouble at 32-3 and batted through the remainder of the innings to finish unbeaten on 130 from 133 balls.

The South African middle order had experienced minimal time at the wicket as the host cruised to an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series, but showed a degree of mettle in tricky conditions thanks largely to Miller's controlled innings.

After AB de Villiers had fallen for just 19 to leave South Africa 76-4 in the 15th over, the left-handed Miller shared a 90-run stand with JP Duminy that put the home side back in charge.

Miller received little support once Duminy had been caught and bowled by Darren Sammy for 43, but went to three figures in 122 balls and then blitzed three sixes to power the Proteas to a formidable total.

West Indies captain Jason Holder grabbed three wickets in the final eight overs of the innings to record figures of 4-53, but missed out on a five-wicket haul when he dropped Miller off the final ball of the innings.
