Frankfurt, Dec 21: Arjen Robben scored an injury-time winner Tuesday to give Bayern Munich a 2-1 victory at second-division Bochum and a place in the quarterfinals of the German Cup.

Borussia Dortmund, last season's Bundesliga champion, played through extra time with 10 men without conceding and then won a penalty shootout 5-4 to prevail at second-division leader Fortuna Duesseledorf.

Ivan Perisic converted the decisive penalty after Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller had stopped Thomas Broeker's shot. Weidenfeller had kept Dortmund in the match after defender Patrick Owomoyela was sent off in the 34th minute with his second yellow card.

Bayern trailed 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Giovanni Federico in the 26th minute but the Bundesliga leader stepped up the pressure after the break and replied through Toni Kroos in the 52nd.

Bochum held on until losing possession late in the match and Franck Ribery found the unmarked Robben for the winner.

The upset of the night saw Nuremberg lose 1-0 at home to second-division Greuther Fuerth although the visitors played a man down from the 66th. Edgar Prib scored the only goal in the 15th.

Hoffenheim beat Augsburg 2-1 with goals from Sejad Salihovic and Vedad Ibisevic. Torsten Oehrl scored in between, before Salihovic set up Ibisevic for the winner in the 49th minute.
